I Didn’t Want That: A Short Film About a ‘Good Death’

I Didn’t Want That, a short film produced by Dying Matters, was made to spark an interest in end of life planning and change the way people talk about death. Dying Matters aims to help create a way of thinking in which death and bereavement are seen as a natural part of life.

If you are an educator or interested in public awareness, you may find the short film particularly useful. It portrays universal anxieties and demonstrates the significance of having communicated one’s end of life wishes to family and friends who are willing to listen.

A meaningful part of our vision at Peacefully is to raise awareness and advance the general knowledge about common questions that arise at the end of life. Understanding the many tasks that need to be done in good time, leads to a sense of control and confidence when a death inevitably happens.

What are your thoughts on the short film? Did you think it is an accurate representation of struggles facing families before and after the death of a loved one? Did it remind you of anything you, your friends or family members have been through? Please share your experience in the comment section below.
