Notify beneficiaries and creditors

1) After filing a petition for probate, notify heirs and beneficiaries in writing.

2) After the court appoints the representative for the estate, the representative must give written notice to all known creditors of the estate based on state laws.

3) You also need to publish the notice of the hearing in a local newspaper, in an attempt to notify others such as unknown creditors of the decedent.

4) If heirs and/or beneficiaries have any objections to the petition, they have a limited period of time (differs by state, but generally 6 months) to object in court.
