How to close a LastPass account after a loved one passes
LastPass offers an option where if you set up Emergency Access contacts, you can access all passwords. If this is set up, it will make logging into accounts to find the necessary information and transfer/cancel accounts much easier.
When someone has designated you as a person who can request access to their account, you can request that access by doing the following:
1) Log in to LastPass and access your Vault.
2) In the left menu, click Emergency Access.
3) Click the People Who Trust Me tab. Next, find the entry for the person who granted you access to their account, along with the waiting period they chose, specified on the right side.
Waiting period means that if you requested access to an account, the person who owned the account has that much time to veto the request. If they do not veto the request, access is granted.
4) Hover over the name, and click Request Access.
5) A confirmation window appears. Click Yes.
6) If there is a waiting period, the system refreshes to indicate when you will be granted access
