How to close an Amazon account after a loved one passes

You may want to change the email address on an Amazon account in order to access the orders, Kindle, Amazon Drive, and/or Prime Photos content, all of which could be important. You can also delete the account if you want to.

1) To change the email address and payment information in your account settings, follow these steps.

If you can log in:

• Go to Your Account and select Login & Security.

• Click Edit next to the account information you'd like to update.

• Follow the on-screen instructions and click Save Changes.

• Click Done after you've completed all your updates.

2) To close the account, simply call 888-280-4331
